Don't Forget About The Environment

Authors Note: I wrote about Timelock by David Klass because it is the last book in the series and I think the series is great.

Imagine a future, where the Earth is a barren wasteland covered in sand, so terrible that you cant even go outside without burning up. The sun never comes out and the sand is always in the air. Not to mention the earth has war all around, from the two groups; the Dannites (the only good humans) and the Gorms (the evil demons and such). The Gorms want to destroy mankind and rule the desert, while the Dannites want to live. Timelock by David Klass is a breath-taking reminder of what we are doing to the environment and that we can still fix it.

This whole book is focused on how we can fix the environment, and one way is to not treat the ocean life. As much as I love sea-food, Trawlers destroy coral reefs just for fish, and it takes 100 years for coral reefs to be re-grown. Like in the first book, when Jack Danielson, the main character, has to save the oceans by preventing people from destroying coral reefs and eating endangered fish. Fish need coral reefs, because coral reefs are like the lungs of the ocean. They replenish the oceans life, and if we destroy them, they wont last long. So Jack has to use a special part of the ocean to stop the up-coming future.

Unlike the ocean, the Amazon is like the lungs of the earth, being the largest forest, if it is destroyed then we’ll have nothing else. In the second book Jack has to find the most powerful man on earth so he can kill the Dark Lord. There will be no more forests, we will remove homes from many of there animals. And for what, some measly trees that take a millennium to grow? They take forever to grow back on their own, so the best thing we can do is try to create more forests.

A mix of both land and sea, the ice caps are 98.8% of our fresh water. If we melt that all away then we will have no water left. Also it will cause the extinction of many animals like polar bears and seals. Global warming is our fault, but we can still save the ice caps.

Timelock is a great book that demonstrates what’s wrong with the earth and how we can fix it. The series explains all the major areas it a great fictional way. This book demonstrates that we need to fix the earth while we still can.
